For Belgian singer Metejoor, Atmooz was invited to curate a living space that seamlessly aligns with his personality: warm, stylish, and thoughtfully conceived down to the smallest detail.
Rather than a standard interior, the goal was to create a personal sanctuary where tranquillity, comfort, and refinement take centre stage—a place where music, relaxation, and togetherness effortlessly converge.

A Collaboration That Came About Naturally
This partnership did not happen by chance. In 2024, Atmooz was entrusted with designing the interior of Céline Van Ouytsel, Metejoor's partner. During that project, a wonderful connection was established, giving us genuine insight into their personal taste and living style.
Warm materials, serene color palettes, and a timeless aesthetic immediately formed a solid foundation. Built on that trust, the idea naturally evolved to redesign Metejoor's living space as well. This led to an exciting new project centered around that same core philosophy: creating interiors that feel deeply personal while remaining timeless.
A Living Space Built Around Experience
The living room was completely redesigned around one central element: a generous sofa that instantly lends character to the room. Featuring a double seat and an inviting lounge corner, it serves as the natural heart of the space.
The layout invites you to slow down—to recharge after a demanding day, yet also welcome guests in a warm and open setting. The space feels simultaneously airy and intimate; every item has its dedicated place without the room feeling cluttered. The result is a living environment that is not only visually stunning, but genuinely designed to be lived in.
Custom Craftsmanship with Character
To introduce additional structure and depth to the room, Charrell created two fully bespoke wall cabinets.
A conscious decision was made to combine Taj Mahal marble with rich, dark wood. The marble infuses a soft, natural luxury into the interior, with its delicate veining and warm undertones delivering subtle elegance. In turn, the dark wood provides striking contrast and warmth. Together, these materials achieve a balance that feels both modern and enduring.
The wall units are as functional as they are aesthetic, providing dedicated space for personal items, books, and decorative pieces where form and function merge effortlessly.
Unity Through Repetition of Materials
In thoughtful interior design, materials recur across different areas to establish calm and continuity. Taj Mahal marble plays a defining role throughout this living space: beyond the bespoke wall cabinets, it also graces the coffee tables positioned at the center of the seating area.
By repeating this luxurious stone across multiple focal points, a cohesive visual line is drawn throughout the room. The coffee tables act as refined eye-catchers that elevate the entire setting without clamoring for attention.
The Rug as an Anchor
One of the most defining foundations in the living room is the expansive, hand-knotted and carved rug that embraces the entire seating zone. This piece literally grounds the interior, introducing tactile softness and tying the various furniture pieces together.
Its artisanal finish and subtle texture lend textural depth while maintaining a serene, elegant profile. The generous scale evokes an immediate sense of cocooning, making the living space feel instantly warm and welcoming.

What makes this project distinctive is that the concept was never guided by fleeting trends. Instead, the focus was firmly placed on longevity, personality, and everyday comfort.
