A look inside Metejoor's home: a living space where warmth and design come together

An interior says something about who you are. It reflects how you live, how you relax and where you feel at home. For Belgian singer Metejoor, we at Atmooz were asked to create a living space that perfectly matches his personality. Warm, stylish and thought out down to the smallest details.

Not a standard interior, but a personal whole in which tranquillity, comfort and refinement take centre stage. A space where music, relaxation and togetherness come together effortlessly.

In this blog, we take you inside the interior project we were asked to realise for Metejoor!

A collaboration that came about naturally

This collaboration did not come about by chance. In 2024, Atmooz was also asked to design the interior of Céline Van Ouytsel, Metejoor's girlfriend. During that project, a wonderful connection was formed and we got to know their taste and living style well.

The warm materials, calm colours and timeless look immediately formed a strong foundation. From that trust, the idea grew to also design Metejoor's living space.

This led to a new project centred around the same vision: creating interiors that feel personal while remaining timeless.

A living space built around experience

The living space was completely redesigned around one central element: a generous sofa that immediately gives the room character. With its double seat and inviting lounge corner, it forms the natural centrepiece of the room.

The layout invites you to slow down. To relax after a busy day, but also to welcome guests in a warm and open atmosphere.

The space feels both spacious and cosy. Each element has its place, without making the whole feel cluttered. The result is a living space that not only looks beautiful, but is also truly made for living in.

Customisation with character

To add extra structure and depth to the space, Charrell created two fully customised wall cabinets.

A conscious decision was made to combine Taj Mahal marble and dark wood. The marble brings a soft, natural luxury to the interior. The fine pattern and warm tones create a subtle elegance. The dark wood adds contrast and warmth to the space.

Together, these materials create a balance that feels both modern and timeless.

The wall cabinets are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also functional. They offer space for personal items, books and decorations. Every detail has been carefully designed to ensure that form and function come together perfectly.

Unity through repetition of materials

In a strong interior, materials often recur in multiple places. This creates calm and cohesion.

Taj Mahal marble also plays an important role in this living space. The material is not only used in the wall cabinets, but also in the coffee tables that stand centrally in the sitting area.

By repeating this material in different places, a clear visual line is created throughout the space. The coffee tables act as subtle eye-catchers that enhance the whole without demanding attention. The result is an interior in which everything seems connected!

The carpet as the basis of the room

One of the most striking elements in the living room is the large hand-knotted and cut carpet that embraces the entire seating area. This carpet literally forms the basis of the interior. It brings softness to the room and connects the various elements.

The traditional finish and subtle texture give the carpet extra depth. At the same time, it retains a calm and elegant appearance. The use of a large carpet creates a feeling of security. This immediately makes the living space feel warm and inviting.

Cushions

An interior that lives

What makes this project special is that the interior was not designed around trends. The focus was on sustainability, personality and comfort.

Every piece of furniture, every material and every detail was carefully chosen. Not only for its aesthetic appeal, but above all to create a living space that grows with everyday life.

A place where music is made, where friends gather and where tranquillity arises naturally. The result is an interior that is as stylish as it is timeless!

The approach behind the project

At Atmooz, we always start with the personality of the residents. Every interior design project begins with listening: to the wishes, lifestyle and atmosphere that someone wants to experience in their home. For larger interior design projects, we also work closely with Charrell, an established name in exclusive interior design concepts and customisation.

This collaboration allows us to design spaces from start to finish, from furniture selection to customised solutions and material choices. The result is a total concept in which every detail is just right.

Inspiration for your own interior

The interior of Metejoor shows how powerful simplicity can be. By working with warm materials, calm colours and timeless furniture, a space is created that feels elegant and relaxed.

Some elements from this project that you can also apply in your own interior:

● Lighting as an eye-catcher, with pendant lamps that give the space character and elegance.
● Warm, natural materials such as wood that provide depth and a timeless look.
● Repetition of shapes and shades in furniture and lighting for
a sense of calm and cohesion.
● Subtle design objects, such as a side table or mirror, that refine the space without dominating it.
● Layered lighting with table lamps and floor lamps that softly connect different areas of the room.

These principles create an interior that is not only beautiful, but above all feels like home.
